Facebook Fanpages Tips For Small Business Owners

Facebook Fanpages Tips For Small Business Owners

This is just a short report to explain 5 tips for your fanpage. Implementing any of these will significantly help you gain more business and popularity from Facebook.

Tip #1

Custom Landing Page – Having a custom landing page on Facebook is absolutely key! It separates you from about 90% of the rest of your competition, as most businesses consider just the creation of a fanpage enough.

Unfortunately, that couldn’t be farther from the truth…

Try using a free Facebook application such as “Static HTML: iFrame Tabs” and creating a custom fanpage. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to ask!

Tip #2

Make It Personal – Without any sort of personalized touch a fanpage is just that… a fanpage. Just by adding things like pictures of the office, a custom profile picture with your businesses name on it, and of course don’t forget to edit the “info” page with all of your companies personal details.

Tip #3

Be Interactive – This has to be the biggest problem I see when it comes to how a business sets their fanpage up. Once it’s online and operational, they don’t care about it anymore, therefore essentially sentencing it “to death”.

Imagine if you bought a new car, but you drove it maybe once or twice a year. You’d need new tires, new parts, and most likely one heck of a car wash each time you drove it.

It’s the same concept with a fanpage; you have to constantly be posting new status updates, commenting on what others say, and most importantly just being interactive with your fans.

Tip #4

Use Your Friends – Whether you’ve got 5,000 of them of just 50, it doesn’t matter. Your Facebook friends are going to be your #1 “pushers” for your fanpage.

Offer a coupon on your #1 selling service/item to your friends and family, I guarantee you they’ll take you up on it.

You can also run a promotion where you give a coupon away to your current fans.

“Get 10 people to like this page and say they’re from you, and get 50% off your next order”

Something as simple as that will spark competition and get the page really moving.

Tip #5

Monitor Your Page – It’s very easy for a page to get overrun by spam, especially if it’s popular and never monitored. Just glancing at the page once a day will do, and you can always contact Facebook if needed to prevent someone from spamming your page.

A clean page is a happy (and profitable) page!
